In the period 1999- 2003 Regional museum has worked and successively realized the following projects:




  1. Restoration of Medieval Church St. George, Kolusha, Kyustendil Program for cultural development in Bulgaria (BG 9606), financially supported by European Bulgarian fund for Development of Art;
  2. Archaeological research, conservation and restoration (of findings and mound restore), exhibition and publication of Thracian mound in Toplika place, Nevestino village - financially supported by Swiss Embassy in Bulgaria;
  3. Restoration, conservation, exhibition and publication of ancient mosaics with depiction of Heracles from Pautalia - financially supported by National Fund Culture and partially by National Center Museums, Galleries and Arts;
  4. Conservation and restoration and exhibition of Roman Spa site, Kyustendil 1st stage financially supported by National Fund Culture;
  5. Constitution and update of web-site of Regional Museum of History www. kjustendilmuseum.bg ( http://www.kjustendilmuseum.bg )
  6. Project From social aid to employment 2003, 2004.
  7. In 2003 the museum and its partners Natural Science School Emanuil Ivanov and District Committee of Red Cross finished project Freedom and responsibility - financially supported by Partners Foundation on Program Prevention of children in risk;
  8. In 2004 implementation of project Kyustendil region a cross-road of 8 000 thousand years of history and culture started, through PHARE Program of EU; partners in it are Kyustendil District Administration and municipalities in Kyustendil, Nevestino, Sapareva Banya, Rila, Boboshevo and 2 non-governmental organizations Council of Tourism and Tourist Union Ossogovo.

On 15th of November 2007 started a Project of Italian organization EURO INNOVANET after LLP-Leonardo Da Vinci Programme (2007-2010), LLP-LDV/TOI/07/IT/016.






    the Project is funded by European Commission and is implemented in a partnership between eight organizations from Italia, Romania and Bulgaria - EURO INNOVANET (Project Co-ordinator); City of Rome; Pitigliano Museum; Ce.Ri.S. Centro Ricerche Sociali Soc.Coop. a.r l.; Lucian Blaga University, Sibiu; Banat Museum, Timisoara; Culture Animi Foundation, Sofia; Regional History Museum Academician Jordan Ivanov, town of Kyustendil. Project Associates from Bulgaria are also Regional History Museum, Ruse and Archeological Museum, Veliko Turnovo.


    The title of the Project is F-M.U.S.EU.M (Form Multimedia System for a European Museum) and its general aim is the transfer and systematization of outcomes and outputs achieved and realised during the implementation of the project MU.S.EU.M. It has been proved the effectiveness of the training, organizational and communication Model produced during the project, in answering to the increasing need, within the museum sector, of new professional competences concerning the planning and management of a mix of culture-art-technology-economy, implying innovative modalities to present and divulge cultural heritages that symbolize not only the specific national identities, but also the European one.


    The main outcome the Project is going to create and to build on the established one, is European Virtual Museum, www.europeanvirtualmuseum.net, including materials from the museum partners collections, photographed in detail and three-dimensionally presented. Beside the detailed description of each of the exhibits in four languages (English, Italian, Bulgarian and Romanian), there will be prepared and published articles interpreting parallels on common European level.


    The specific goals of the proposal are:

    to realize a transfer action so as to foster the development of 4 specific professional branches of the museum sector (management, technical, contents and communication), in order to answer to the fast evolution that the technological and organization innovations are imposing to the management and valorization of cultural properties by wider and wider categories of users;

    to promote the adoption of the F-MU.S.EU.M. innovative lifelong learning model, through the contents, linguistic and technological updating of the prototypical product;

    to realize the necessary adjustment of the training model through the activation of local laboratories for the experimentation, within the 3 countries partner.


    The partnership hold the whole range of competences required for the project implementation: research and training centers, Museums, Institutional local administrations, organizations with technological expertise.


    Among the expected outcomes, also in terms of impact, in addition to the further development of the existent website and to the improvement of the competences of the targeted - professional profiles, can be listed the following:

    updating of data and information (on European scale and starting from a field analysis), related to the occupational and professional needs of the different professional profiles working within the sector of the museum data transmission offer, in order to foster and support the guidance process addressed to both young unemployed and adults in need of professional retraining, and providing a tool for the elaboration of a strategy aimed at facing the labour market;

    updating of data and information (on European scale and starting from a field analysis), related to the occupational and professional needs of the different professional profiles working within the sector of the museum data transmission offer, in order to foster and support the guidance process addressed to both young unemployed and adults in need of professional retraining, and providing a tool for the elaboration of a strategy aimed at facing the labour market;

    creation of a Network for the continuous training of European museums, given the meaningful translational character of the project;

    providing the partner representing countries entered in Europe recently with the opportunity of adopt and experimenting training innovative and technologically advanced practices, that can support the process - still in progress - of modernization of the public administrations, being the last a priority indicated by the European community in the pre-admission period.


    The dead line of Project implementation is 14th of November 2009.

The Regional History Museum "Academician Yordan Ivanov" Kyustendil was awarded a grant after IPA Cross-Border Programme, Bulgaria FYR of Macedonia, CCI Number 2007CB16IPO007 to implement the Project Cultural Heritage of Our Ancestors Spiritual Mainstay of Our Common European Future.




    The duration of the project is 12 months and its commencement date is 24th of July 2012. It will be implemented jointly with the Municipality of Kriva Palanka in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia acting as the cross-border partner.



    The Project activities are to be implemented in the both sides of the border including the following:


    - archive documents examination and a mutual inquiry card model for the tangible and intangible cultural heritage development;


    - undertaking complex terrain expeditions on the territory of the cross-border region Kyustendil Kriva Palanka and development of data base on the tangible and intangible cross-border cultural heritage.


    - preparation and organization of 2 two-day Festivals of traditional culture in Kyustendil and Kriva Palanka with review-spectacles of traditional garment, childrens holidays The Games of Our Grandpas and Grandmas and cross-border traditional cuisine exhibitions;


    - organizing a two-day seminar Borderless Cultural Heritage in Kriva Palanka with the participation of experts from Bulgaria and FYR of Macedonia working in the field of Kyustendil Kriva Palanka cross-border cultural heritage studying;


    - elaboration and promotion of advertising information materials (cultural products);


    - Elaboration and promotion of 2 photo exhibitions on the cross-border cultural heritage.


    - project promotion and visibility actions.


    The activities are directed to accomplishing the following specific objectives:



    1. Fostering the cross-border cooperation in the field of cultural affairs through establishing new contacts between actors of traditional arts from the cross-border region and implementing new joint cultural events and festivals.


    2. Improving the capacity of local authorities and institutions from the cross-border region to sustainable and reasonable use of cultural heritage through identification, documenting, registering and developing of common data base.


    3. Promotion of sharing cultural values and intangible cultural heritage from the districts of Kyustendil (R Bulgarian) and Kriva Palanka (FYR of Macedonia) through creation and promotion of new cross-border cultural products brochures, guidebook, exhibitions.


    4. Building on the established cross-border collaboration between the municipalities of Kyustendil and Kriva Palanka through enhancing the spheres of cooperation and establishing of new relations to develop and implement joint projects and activities.



    As a whole, the Project aims at establishing sustainable collaboration within the border area between Kyustendil in Republic of Bulgaria and South Eastern region in the FYR of Macedonia through developing sustainable programmes for cultural and economic exchange. The overall objective of the project is directed to the improvement of quality of life in the region through protection and reasonable use of tangible and intangible cultural resources and values as a resource for sustainable social economic development and a factor for rapprochement, cultural exchange and mutual understanding between people from both sides of the border.



    The main results that will be achieved after the Project activities implementation are:


    - mutual inquiry card model elaborated;


    - data base on the tangible and intangible cross-border cultural heritage developed;


    - 2 two-day Festivals of traditional culture in Kyustendil and Kriva Palanka with review-spectacles of traditional garment from the region, childrens holidays The Games of Our Grandpas and Grandmas and cross-border traditional cuisine exhibitions organized, held and visited;


    - advertising information materials (cultural products) elaborated and promoted: 6 types of brochures (3 Bulgarian/English and 3 Macedonian/English); 2 guidebooks On the Road of Legends (1 Bulgarian English and 1 Macedonian/English); 2 photo exhibitions elaborated and promoted in Kyustendil and Kriva Palanka (1 Bulgarian/English and 1 Macedonian/English);


    - Borderless Cultural Heritage Two-Day Seminar organized in Kriva Palanka and 1 book of collected articles printed;


    - 1 common cross-border project visible promoted by 4 press conferences in Kyustendil and Kriva Palanka organized, 1 Project promotion English/Bulgarian/Macedonia leaflet printed, 2 banners and 2 visibility boards elaborated and fixed.


    The Project activities and results are directed to the following target groups: cultural and folk groups and teams, individual performers, artists, children, craftsmen, members of artistic groups and teams, gastronomes; teachers and students from Kyustendil, Bobov Dol, Nevestino and Kriva Palanka; citizens of the municipalities of Kyustendil, Bobov Dol, Nevestino and Kriva Palnka; tourists and visitors of the Kyustendil - Kriva Palanka cross border region; museum specialists and scientific workers archeologists, historians, ethnologists, scientists of art, architects, linguists and other publicists and researchers.











 

 





Project Promotion Press Conference






    On October 22nd, 2012 at 2.00 p.m. at the Conference Hall of the Kyustendil Regional History Museum was held a Press Conference for the promotion of the Project Cultural Heritage of Our Ancestors Spiritual Mainstay of Our Common European Future, co-financed by the European Union through the Bulgaria FYR of Macedonia IPA Cross-Border Programme 2007-2013 B, CCI 2007CB16IPO007 with ref. 2007CB16IPO007-2011-2-39; RD 02-29-71/23.07.2012. It was attended by the representatives of the both Project partners - Regional History Museum Academician Yordan Ivanov Kyustendil and Municipality of Kriva Palanka. Official guests were the Mayor of the Municipality of Kriva Palanka Arsencho Aleksovski and the Deputy Mayor of Municipality of Kyustendil Rositsa Plachkova.
